Rye

There are local landmarks such as the Ypres Tower, Landgate Arch dating from 1329, and the Church of St Mary the Virgin with England's oldest turret clock; where you can also climb to the top of the tower for an unforgettable view. Mermaid Street is home to many historical buildings with names such as, 'The House Opposite', 'The House with the Seat' and 'The House with Two Front Doors', and Lamb House on West Street most famous for resident Henry James, who lived there from 1898 to 1916.

Camber Sands

Camber beach is famous for the long ridges of sand dunes and over seven miles of golden sands. To make the beach a safe environment for the family, the beach is zoned to separate activities such as kite surfing from more traditional beach users.


Rare Breeds Centre

The Rare Breeds Centre is approved by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. Families, adults and groups can enjoy a perfect day out on the beautiful 100 acre farm based in the heart of the Kent countryside. There are lots of animals to meet and pet and fun things to do for children including two play parks, a tube maze and indoor soft play barn. There are also falconry displays, pig racing and many special events throughout the year.

Hastings

Hastings is really three towns in one joined by a level promenade; the Old Town to the east, the bustling contemporary shopping Town Centre in the middle and St Leonards to the west featuring the classical elegance of James Burton’s architecture and the fashionable Norman Road. Hastings is home to many events such as the Hastings Old Town Week, Pirate Day, the Seafood and Wine Festival, and the Bonfire Procession.
